It's back to the courtroom for Alfons Schuhbeck as Munich I Regional Court announces a new trial starting from June 24, focusing on allegations of subsidy fraud. The trial is scheduled for four days, with a potential verdict on July 14.

While the charge accusing Schuhbeck of withholding and embezzling wages in hundreds of cases has been dropped, he is still expected to face the music in the other cases.

Upon the announcement of the indictment in October, Schuhbeck's lawyers, Norbert Scharf and Joachim Eckert, remained tight-lipped about the situation, stating, "Mr. Schuhbeck will defend himself against the charges. He has not yet made a statement on the matter." They warned against premature commitments or profiling given the scale of the proceedings.
