Stephen Colbert: The Man Behind the Microphone
Before taking on The Late Show, Colbert was a beloved comedian best recognized for his work on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and hosting his spin-off news satire, The Colbert Report.
In The Colbert Report, Colbert portrayed a character with an overblown love of America, commenting on daily news events. The show scooped up seven Emmys and a coveted Peabody Award, honoring "excellent storytelling that sheds light on social issues and reflects emerging voices."
