Upcoming English Premier League Match Schedule for the 2025-26 Season
The 2025/26 English Premier League season is set to kick off on Friday, 15 August, with a thrilling array of matches lined up for football fans across the globe.
Tony Mowbray has been appointed as the head coach of Sunderland AFC, as they prepare for their return to the top-tier competition. The Black Cats will face West Ham United in their opening fixture on the first weekend of the season.
The opening weekend also promises a host of other exciting clashes. Liverpool will host Bournemouth, Aston Villa will welcome Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion will face Fulham, and Tottenham Hotspur will take on Burnley. Manchester City will travel to Leeds United, Chelsea will host Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest will square off against Brentford, and Manchester United will lock horns with Arsenal.
Some of the key title-defining clashes in the season include the Manchester Derby, scheduled for 14 September at the Etihad and 17 January at Old Trafford. The Merseyside Derby will be played twice, first on 20 September at Anfield and then on 18 April at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Other notable fixtures include the North London Derby, scheduled for 22 November at the Emirates and 21 February at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The clash between Man City and Liverpool, which is always a hotly contested match, is set for 8 November. Arsenal will face Chelsea on 28 February, and Liverpool will battle Spurs on 14 March.
The rest of Matchweek 1 takes place across the weekend of 16-17 August, with the final day of the season on 24 May 2026. With such an exciting lineup of matches, the 2025/26 English Premier League season promises to be a rollercoaster ride for fans of English football.
