The podcast, titled Stick to Cricket, saw Akram reflecting on the highlights of his career alongside England greats Michael Vaughan, Sir Alastair Cook, David Lloyd, and Phil Tufnell. Akram found both England and Australia to be the best countries to play cricket, citing their rich history, excellent facilities, knowledge of the game, and easy travel as reasons.
Notably, the podcast discussion included Akram naming his top five cricketers from his playing days. However, the discussion did not delve into the toughest bowlers Akram faced during his career or any other batters apart from Adam Gilchrist in ODIs.
In a fascinating revelation, Akram shared that he performed exceptionally well in Australia after taking Imran Khan's advice following his first year with Lancashire.
