Unveiling the Backstage Secrets of TV Times' 70th Anniversary Photoshoot!

In an exciting celebration of its 70th anniversary, television magazine TV Times has unveiled a special photoshoot featuring some of the industry's most beloved stars. Sally Lindsay and Neil Dudgeon, stars of hit shows like The Madame Blanc Mysteries and Midsomer Murders, have teamed up for this special occasion.

The photoshoot, which took place at London's Holborn Studios in August, features a 16-foot garland of chrome and silver balloons, giant light-up numbers, and a showstopping pink ombre cake. An exclusive behind-the-scenes video from the photoshoot is available on the magazine's website for those who want a closer look.

For Neil Dudgeon, seeing himself on a TV Times cover in a supermarket is still a strange experience. "It's always surreal to see myself on the cover of TV Times," he said. "But to be part of this special 70th anniversary issue is truly an honour."

Sally Lindsay, who made her debut on a TV Times cover in July 2003, shares Dudgeon's excitement. "I'm thrilled to be part of this celebration," she said. "TV Times has been a staple in my household for years, and to help them celebrate their 70th birthday is a dream come true."

The special edition of TV Times, featuring the photoshoot, will be delivered to subscribers this week. A sneak peek of the special cover is available, showcasing the listings for 20-26 September 2025. The regular edition of TV Times, featuring All Creatures Great and Small on its cover, is currently available in shops.

Neil Dudgeon, who leads ITV1's ever-popular whodunnit Midsomer Murders, finds it particularly special to be part of TV Times' 70th anniversary. "I've had multiple covers of TV Times in my home over the years," he said. "It's always been a source of pride for me, and to help them celebrate their 70th birthday is a privilege."

For those who want to save on the cost of subscribing to TV Times, a one-year subscription offers significant savings over the cover price. With interviews from Sally Lindsay and Neil Dudgeon featured in this week's issue, it's the perfect time to subscribe.

TV Times first hit the stands on 22 September 1955, and since then, it has been a trusted source for television listings and entertainment news. This special anniversary issue is a testament to the magazine's enduring popularity and its commitment to bringing the best in television to its readers.
