Team Rembe | rad-net Ready to Make a Mark in the 2025 Deutschland Tour
Team Rembe | rad-net is gearing up for the 2025 Deutschland Tour, a five-stage race that kicks off next Wednesday, August 20, in Essen. The team, currently dominating the German Bundesliga, enters the race with high expectations, holding the entire podium and boasting a strong lineup.
Roger Kluge, a three-time world champion and former WorldTour professional, leads the team. Joining Kluge are Johannes Adamietz, a strong climber, and Jonathan Rottmann, known for his lead-out abilities. The team also includes Miguel Heidemann and Jon Knolle, both members of Team Rembe | rad-net, and Ole Theiler, who performs well on rolling stages.
However, the participation of German rising star Florian Lipowitz in the race is still uncertain.
The route of the Deutschland Tour takes the riders through North Rhine-Westphalia for the first three stages, offering opportunities for Rembe | rad-net to leverage fan support. The team aims to make a mark against high-profile competitors like Wout van Aert and Jonathan Milan, with Adamietz specializing in climbing and Rottmann excelling in sprint finishes.
The race continues over four more stages through Herford, Arnsberg, Kassel, and Halle to Magdeburg. The Deutschland Tour this year passes through the Sauerland region, with the route including a stage through Arnsberg. Lennart Voege, a member of Team Rembe | rad-net, mentioned the start in Arnsberg as interesting for spectators.
Voege, though not nominated for the upcoming Deutschland Tour, expects the day's leading group to form on the B229 out of Arnsburg. He also mentioned the climb on the B229 out of Arnsburg as a potential first sporting challenge.
In addition to the race, the team presentation and surrounding activities in Arnsberg offer opportunities for spectators to get close to the riders. Many stars who have made a name for themselves at this year's Tour de France will be part of the lineup.
Team Rembe | rad-net is equipped to handle various race situations and is ready to showcase local talent while competing strongly across the five stages. Let's see if they can live up to the hype and make a significant impact in the 2025 Deutschland Tour.
