Get ready for an exciting new drama series that promises to captivate audiences worldwide. "Outrageous", a six-part production, is set to premiere in various countries, starting with Germany on December 10, 2024, and the UK from June 19, 2025.
The series, based on Mary Lovell's biography "The Mitford Girls", will delve into the lives of the Mitford sisters: Nancy, Pamela, Diana, Unity, Jessica, and Deborah. Known for their controversial romantic and political lives in the 1930s, the sisters' stories are sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
The star-studded cast includes Bessie Carter as the eldest sister Nancy Mitford, Joanna Vanderham as glamorous sister Diana Mitford, Orla Hill as the youngest sister Deborah Mitford, and Isobel Jesper Jones as enigmatic sister Pamela Mitford.
In the series, Shannon Watson will portray Unity Mitford, who is dangerously attracted to the Nazi regime in Germany, while Zoe Brough will portray staunch communist sister Jessica Mitford. Toby Regbo will play the role of the girls' brother Tom, and Anna Chancellor will play their mother, known as Muv. James Purefoy will play their father Farve, and Jamie Blackley will play Nancy's husband Peter Rodd.
James Musgrave will portray Nancy's flamboyant friend Hamish Erskine, and Will Attenborough will play the character Joss, who crosses paths with the sisters. Notable performances also come from Calam Lynch as wealthy heir Bryan Guinness, Diana's first husband, and Joshue Sasse as British fascist leader Oswald Mosley, Diana's second husband.
