The excitement for the sixth season of "The Masked Singer" began on February 9 on NTV. Initially, there were 14 masks vying for the coveted victory: Cucumber, Dalmatian, Sheep, Chick, Bull, Capibara, Cow, Duck, Chief, Boxer, Pike, Grasshopper, Ostrich, and Falcon.
By the eighth episode, the following masks had been revealed: Cow (actress Aga Muсeniece), Capibara (singer Eldar Dzharakhov), Sheep (TV presenter Ksenia Borodina), Chick (showman Alexander Revva), Grasshopper (singer Olga Seryabkina), Bull (performer Vladimir Kiselyov, better known as Vladimir), Pike (singer Yaroslav Sumisheskij).
The drama of the ninth episode
In the thrilling ninth episode of the program, Cucumber, Ostrich, and Falcon were up for elimination. Falcon had viewer immunity, leaving only Cucumber and Ostrich at risk of being unmasked. The knowledgeable jury made their decision, and it was Cucumber who was unveiled.
The panel of judges speculated on who could be hidden beneath the Cucumber mask: actor Oscar Kuchera, comedian Dmitriy Pozov, writer Sergey Mиnaev, or rapper Sergey Parhomenko (Serega).
After the suspenseful reveal, it was confirmed that Cucumber was none other than Serega, who performed the haunting tune "Black Eyes" by Petr Lechtenko.
Fun facts and trivia
In the fourth season of "The Masked Singer," there were two winners—Sergei Lazarev (Scorpion) and Dimash Bilan (Little Mammoth). The decision was made by the jury chairman, People's Artist of Russia Philipp Kirkorov, after the jury's votes were tied.
In the fifth season, the first place went to Artik & Asti's soloist Sevil Velieva (Raccoon).
