Return with Fresh Music Collection - Unveiling Fresh Tunes: Upcoming Album Release
(Cut the crap, fools, let's get this show on the road!)
Mariah Carey (56), the timeless pop diva, is shaking up the music Universe once more. Her brand-spankin' new single, "Type Dangerous," drops this upcoming Friday, y'all! And get this — she's also cookin' up her 16th studio album, a follow-up to her 2018 smash "Caution."
"Three's the charm, baby!"
"I'm frickin' psyched to finally spill 'Type Dangerous!'" Carey exclaims, after lockin' herself in the studio, "workin' my sect - um, ass off on new music." The anthemic ballad is a fresh rework of the hip-hop classic, "Eric B. Is President," by the sick duo, Eric B. & Rakim.
Her version, forged alongside soulful sensation Anderson .Paak (39), reportedly stands as a modern declaration of female strength, weavin' glam, independence, and romantic recklessness with a smirk and blessin' graaced style.
The mind-blowing music video of "Type Dangerous" is about to drop in a couple of days. Carey's straight battin' it with director Joseph Kahn for the umpteenth time—the genius behind her beltin' Christmas classic vid, "All I Want for Christmas Is You."
Now here's a heavy dose of nostalgia, 'member when we said Mariah gon' be honored with the BET Ultimate Icon Award? (If ya don't, fa'shizzle, move along.) She's joinin' the ranks of Jamie Foxx (57), Kirk Franklin (55), and Snoop Dogg (53), all celebratin' their illustrious careers that span decades. The award showdown is gonna go down on Monday, June 9. And if that's not the cherry on top, she's expected to headline the Capital's Summertime Ball festival at Wembley Stadium on June 15.
So buckle up, everybody, because the Mimi Express is leavin' the station!!
