In the critically-acclaimed podcast accompanying the show, White, the showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer, disclosed that Piper's (Sarah Catherine Hook) tale required a substantial pruning, specifically her romantic entanglement with Zion (Nicholas Duvernay). White expressed disappointment over this elimination, stating that the sequence would have enriched Piper's character journey.
Initially scripted, Piper is seen deciding to shed her virginity with Belinda's son, a decision influenced by Saxon's (Patrick Schwarzenegger) earlier estimation of her inexperience in the bedroom.
