Unveiled Marvel's First Family's Humorous Side in Fantastic Four Outtakes: "What's the swearing equivalent in the Marvel universe?"
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the release of the gag reel and deleted scenes for the latest film, "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," has brought a dose of laughter to fans. The movie, directed by Matt Shakman, is set to be available for digital purchase on September 23, 2025, with a Blu-ray and DVD release scheduled for October 14.
The gag reel, now available online, features a series of bloopers and humorous moments from the set. Highlights include Pedro Pascal asking, "How do you say, 'Oh fuck' in Marvel land?", Ebon Moss-Bachrach ruining a take with a sneeze, and Vanessa Kirby making several attempts to enter a scene. One particularly amusing moment comes from John Krasinski's character, Reed Richards, as he experiments with flipping upside down during Sue Storm's birth scene, a la Kirby.
A deleted scene, showing Sue Storm visiting the Mole Man, has also been released. Other deleted scenes yet to be released include 'Thanksgiving Soup Kitchen', 'Fantastic Four Day', 'Birthday Sweater', and 'Taking Turns.'
Fans of the Avengers will be thrilled to know that "Avengers: Doomsday" will also feature multiple returning X-Men, the Thunderbolts, and characters like Anthony Mackie's Captain America, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, and Letitia Wright's Shuri.
