Unstable quarterback situation in Colorado under scrutiny during match against Wyoming
Colorado Buffaloes and Wyoming Cowboys Set to Clash in First Meeting Since 2009
After a 13-year hiatus, the Colorado Buffaloes and Wyoming Cowboys are all set to square off in a nonconference contest. The last time these two teams met was back in 2009.
The Buffaloes, currently preparing for this highly anticipated game, hold a commanding 23-3-1 record against the Cowboys. Colorado's coach, Deion Sanders, has made a surprising decision for the quarterback position, choosing to start Shedeur Sanders in the game against Wyoming. However, it's important to note that Shedeur Sanders is no longer with the team, as he has departed for the NFL.
In the absence of Shedeur Sanders, Kaidon Salter has been the starting quarterback for the Buffaloes. Salter has shown promising performance this season, throwing for 261 yards, a touchdown, and has rushed for 67 yards and two scores. However, he was replaced by Ryan Staub in the last game. They permitted just a blanking of Akron and had not allowed more than 10 points in a game prior to the game against Utah. The Cowboys' defense surrendered 28 points in the second half against Utah, a performance they will be eager to improve upon.
Wyoming has scored 47 points this season, with 31 points coming in a home win against Northern Iowa. The Cowboys are looking to regain their defensive form and find offensive consistency as they prepare to face the Buffaloes.
