Unsettled weather anticipated in UAE in upcoming days
Weather Alert: Unpredictable Conditions Ahead in the UAE
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is bracing for a change in weather over the next few days, as the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a climate alert. According to the NCM, rainfall of various intensities, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds, is forecasted for some locations on Wednesday and Thursday.
In light of these gloomy conditions, the UAE's Ministry of Interior (MoI) has urged the public to be vigilant against sharing misinformation and rumors about the weather. The NCM encourages avoiding the spread of rumors and complying with their records for accurate and reliable weather updates.
The anticipated 'unstable' weather conditions have prompted the NCM to advise homeowners and motorists to adhere to standards. If driving is necessary, the NCM recommends driving with care and staying alert for safety. The NCM also suggests activating low-beam headlights when visibility is reduced.
Wind speeds of up to 60kmph are expected, potentially causing dust to kick up. Overcast conditions are forecasted for Friday. The NCM advises against driving unless absolutely necessary and encourages following weather reports via official channels and complying with directions from authorities.
The NCM predicts that the rainfall will occur throughout the day, specifically in coastal, North, and Eastern areas. The National Emergency Dilemma and Calamities Administration Authority (NCEMA) and other entities are prepared for any emergencies during this period.
As temperatures typically rise during the Al Mirzam period, which lasts from July 29 to August 10, the public is advised to strictly adhere to heat safety measures such as hydration, sun protection, limiting outdoor exposure, and monitoring official NCM and MoI channels for updates.
The MoI emphasizes the importance of referring to official sources for updates and safety guidelines during this period. The NCM's last update was on 24 January 2023.

Diligently following weather updates becomes essential in the UAE as the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts unpredictable weather conditions. The forecasts include rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, and high wind speeds, as mentioned in their records.
