Unseasonably warm autumn days anticipated in Frankfurt and Hessen, with temperatures potentially reaching as high as 30 degrees.
The German Weather Service (DWD) has predicted a return of summer-like weather in Frankfurt and Hesse, with temperatures set to rise significantly from Thursday onwards.
From Thursday, the maximum temperatures will reach 21 to 25 degrees, marking the start of a warm spell. On Friday, the highest temperatures in Frankfurt and Hesse will be between 26 and 29 degrees, with the German Weather Service (DWD) predicting up to 29 degrees possible on this day. For Saturday, the highest temperatures in Frankfurt and Hesse could reach up to 27 to 30 degrees.
The warm air is being brought by a low-pressure system northwest of Ireland, which is pushing a warm front towards Hesse. A warm front is approaching Hesse, and this is expected to bring a sunny and dry weather for both Friday and Saturday.
However, the warm weather will be accompanied by clouds and "locally some rain". On Sunday in Hessen, a weather drop is expected from the west with many clouds and precipitation spreading southeastwards, including showers and possibly thunderstorms. Temperatures will be cooler compared to the earlier warm, late-summer conditions. The night to Sunday in Hesse should be milder with minimum temperatures of 16 to 14 degrees.
Despite the arrival of autumn, the weather in Frankfurt and Hesse will turn summer-like, offering a brief respite from the cooler autumn temperatures. The night to Thursday in Hesse will have minimum temperatures of 14 to 12 degrees, and the night to Friday will be slightly cooler with minimum temperatures of 13 to 10 degrees.
It's worth noting that the start of the week in Saxony will be unpleasant and stormy, but this weather front is not expected to affect Frankfurt and Hesse.
