Freiburg-Based Journalist Charlotte Schönenberger Returns to Home Town

After a decade-long absence, journalist Charlotte Schönenberger has returned to her hometown of Freiburg. The experienced reporter, who has worked for various media outlets, is now based in our studio in the city.

Prior to her time at Südwestrundfunk, Charlotte Schönenberger honed her skills as a journalist, working for media outlets such as Deutschlandradio and rbb. She completed her journalism traineeship at the Evangelical Journalism School in Berlin, and later, she studied politics at the Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz.

Charlotte's work encompasses planning, reporting, and writing, with a primary focus on societal and political themes. She reports and writes for multiple media platforms, including our website, radio waves, television (Das Erste and Arte), and our online news site.

In her role as a multimedia reporter and editor, Charlotte plans topics, writes articles, and produces content for our audience. Her return to Freiburg in 2020 marked a new chapter in her career, where she continues to make a significant impact in the world of journalism.
