Unpunished triple homicide occurs in Tulancingo, Hidalgo, raising concerns about justice and public safety.

In the quiet town of Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico, an unsettling event has shaken the community. On the night of Monday, July 29, the bodies of three women were discovered in an apartment located on Miguel Hidalgo Street.

The victims were identified as Yoselin J. S., 26 years old; Guadalupe J. S. G., 23; and V. G. S., 25. Tragically, one of the women was pregnant. According to the State Attorney General's Office (PGJEH), the women were originally from Tijuana, Baja California, and had been living in the San Isidro neighbourhood.

The investigation into this triple femicide is being led by the PGJEH, similar to an ongoing investigation into a separate case where a woman's body was found on Avenida 21 de Marzo on July 9. However, no connection between the two cases has been established yet.

The apartment where the three women were found showed signs of intentional homicide. The women were tied by their feet and hands with cables and showed wounds caused by a sharp weapon. The victim found on Avenida 21 de Marzo was in an advanced state of decomposition and naked, tied up by the feet.

Sadly, this is not an isolated incident in Hidalgo. In the first half of 2024, seven investigation files for femicides and 14 more for intentional homicides have been reported in the region, with each file potentially containing more than one victim.

For the latest information on this case, we recommend checking official statements from the Hidalgo state Attorney General’s Office or reputable local news sources in Mexico. These sources are more likely to provide the most current and accurate updates on the case.

As the investigations continue, our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims during this difficult time. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
