Unpredictable skies ahead: meteorological shifts predicted for summer season

Central Europe is set for a heatwave, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). The temperatures will rise day by day, reaching 25 to 29°C by Friday, as an offshoot of an Azores high moves towards the region.

However, the rising temperatures are not expected to significantly affect the north and northwest of Europe. These areas will remain slightly cooler, with temperatures staying around 20 to 24°C, due to the proximity of low-pressure systems over Northern Europe.

Marcel Schmid, a meteorologist from the DWD, explained the weather shift. He stated that a storm system with its core over the Skagerrak will bring significant changes starting on Tuesday, with the wind direction expected to be southwesterly to westerly.

As the week progresses, an Azores high is expected to move towards Central Europe, bringing the warmer temperatures. By Friday, Offenbach, Germany, could experience temperatures up to 29°C.

The weather expert advises securing accommodations along the coast due to potential storm force winds, especially for campers. He also predicts that the weather in Offenbach will be changeable over the weekend and into the start of next week.

Meanwhile, the weather in the north and northwest is predicted to be more changeable, with some variability in temperatures. The cooler temperatures are attributed to the proximity of low-pressure systems over Northern Europe, which will influence the temperatures in these areas.

Despite the cooler temperatures, mid-week weather is expected to bring summer vibes instead of autumn blues, with the sun making a generous appearance.
