- Unexpected hiccup in the jungle camp schedule 🌴

Dr. Bob, a 20-year staple at RTL Jungle Camp, is taking a much-needed break. This dedicated medical professional, known as Robert McCarron, is synonymous with the show. However, an unwelcome visitor has resulted in Dr. Bob's absence in the upcoming episode broadcasting Wednesday evening on RTL+.

Whipping the news into shape, Sonja Zietlow breaks the ice, announcing that none other than Jan Köppen will take the helm. Donning a baseball cap and round glasses to mimic Dr. Bob's Aussie style, Köppen's debut comes on day 14 of the series recording.

Day 14's duties also include briefing contestants Elena Miras and Georgina Fleur about the ensuing challenges.

On the healthcare front, Dr. Bob's battling a common cold.

The pause continues into the episode on day 15. RTL confirms that Dr. Bob has been obliged to momentarily step back from Legends Jungle Camp recordings to ward off his cold. Rest assured, the jungle doctor's return is imminent. Before the semi-finals, airing on RTL+ on Friday evening, you can expect Dr. Bob to return to his exuberant spirit and vast medical knowledge.

An intriguing twist unfolds in the Legends Jungle Camp, as illness has also lingered in the camp. Jan Köppen fell victim, being indoors with a fever at the camp's inception.

Temporarily taking the reins for Dr. Bob's absence is none other than Jan Köppen, who's impersonating our beloved jungle doctor. Meanwhile, when the camp first began, our on-the-spot host also had to take some time off to regain his health.

Noteworthy tidbits:

  • Did you know that RTL Jungle Camp was initially inspired by a British TV show called "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here"?
  • The camp is hosted in a remote location, nearly 22 kilometers away from the nearest town.
