Cell phones have taken center stage in the ongoing insurance scandal during the tenure of Alberto Fernández. Over 100 devices have been confiscated by authorities, with one belonging to secretary María Cantero providing crucial evidence of manipulations to select brokers. Investigator Sebastián Casanello, currently handling the matter, awaits forensic analysis reports before deciding on prosecution.

In other politics news, Peronist deputies have proposed a holiday for the death of Francisco.

Initially, more than 100 phones were seized, but 40 have yet to be processed, according to our sources. An investigator explained, "We have 30 phones in the PSA to try to unlock them, and another 10 await software updates." Among these is the phone of Daniel "El Gordo" Rodriguez, the former mayor of the Olivos estate.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Investigations and Technological Support to Penal Investigation (DATIP) is set to analyze the phone and iPad of former President Alberto Fernández in a gender violence case after Judge Julián Ercolini's request. Extraction of conversations on WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, text messages, and FaceTime is in progress, although it will take several days to complete.

Phones have been significant since the Insurance case's inception. One particularly crucial phone was that of Cantero, where the controversial "I'll take care of it" conversation with Alberto Fernández was found.

Facing scrutiny, Fernández explained, "The 'I'll take care of it' consisted of calling the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Santiago Cafiero) and asking him if there was any problem with the insurance of Provincia ART. I warned him that some rascal was trying to appoint some insurance advisor, and that he should be careful that it wasn't a maneuver in which someone was trying to take advantage."

Casanello is delving deeper into the conversation's implications. In the recent weeks, he has requested more information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the decision made on June 7, 2023, regarding the revocation of Net Broker before Provincia ART.

The judge has also demanded the sharing of records about insurance policies issued using "Héctor Martínez Sosa and Company SA" as a mediator, involving various entities like Provincia Seguros, Provincia Aseguradora de Riesgos del Trabajo, and more.

An interesting find was a photo of Fernández and Martínez Sosa at the Olivos estate on July 3, 2021. This discovery connecting Fernández and Martínez Sosa has reinforced Rodriguez's position as a key figure in the investigation.

Recently, Casanello ordered the Tax and Customs Revenue Agency (ARCA) to prepare a detailed report on Rodríguez's assets, including his properties, vehicles, safety deposit boxes, inspections, and other relevant data.

The probing hasn't stopped, with conversations between Alberto Pagliano, former head of Nación Seguros, and Osvaldo Alfredo Tortora, president of Bachellier, under scrutiny as well.

Conversations from the confiscated phones have not been disclosed for months, and the content of Martínez Sosa's device remains confidential. Despite requests, no relevant evidence has surfaced from the still-closed phones.

The Insurance case saw a change in judges at the beginning of February when Ercolini's subrogation ended in the Federal Court 11. Casanello is now combing through the documentation before making the final decision.
