The Lineup for the 2025 Tour de France Unveiled: A Youthful, Aggressive Approach from Uno-X Mobility

Get ready for the 2025 Tour de France, bubba! In just 19 days, the Grand Départ is upon us, and Uno-X Mobility is primed and ready to dish out some pain. Wasting no time, they've revealed their first team roster, brimming with aggression and fresh talent.

Say so long to veteran speed demon Alexander Kristoff, who's hanging up the cleats in his swan song season. In his absence, the team's added Søren Wærenskjold, fresh off an Omloop Nieuwsblad victory, as their main man for the sprints. Stian Fredheim, a 22-year-old fast cat, steps up to the plate as well.

Thor Hushovd, the team's general manager, referred to this selection as the toughest decision they've ever faced. Not because Kristoff didn't deserve it, but rather due to the incredibly strong riders that missed the cut. Such a reception speaks volumes about how far the team's come since they first entered the race.

"Leaving out Alexander was gut-wrenching," Hushovd said in a team release. "He deserved a final Tour de France appearance and would have delivered for sure. But this year, it's Søren Wærenskjold leading the charge in the sprints."

Lucky for us, the opening stage of this year's race appears to suit the sprinters, much like in 2020 when Kristoff snagged victory while riding for UAE Team Emirates.

But don't think they've abandoned their GC dreams completely. Twin brothers Anders and Tobias Halland Johannessen, fresh off a GC win at the Tour of Slovenia and a fifth-place overall finish at the Critérium du Dauphiné, respectively, will make their first Tour start together.

Sports Director Gabriel Rasch can hardly contain his excitement, commenting, "We're itching to be in the mix every day! This team is built for aggressive racing—to shake things up, not just follow wheels."

It's shaping up to be one chaotic, competitive Tour de France, so buckle up, buttercup!
