Unlicensed Driver Causes Serious Accident on Artem–Nakhodka Highway

A serious accident occurred on the Artem–Nakhodka highway in the Shkotovo District. A heavy truck struck a pedestrian, injuring both parties. The incident took place in daylight under clear weather conditions on an undamaged road.

The 57-year-old driver of a Volvo truck lost control and veered into the left-side ditch, hitting a 24-year-old woman walking along the roadside. Both the driver and the pedestrian were hospitalized with varying degrees of injury. The driver, who had no prior driving record, was unlicensed at the time of the accident. An administrative investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the incident. Several expert examinations, including a chemical-toxicological analysis, have been ordered to assess the driver’s condition at the time of the crash.

The investigating judge, Vladimir Ivanov, is overseeing the case involving the unlicensed driver who injured three people on the Artem–Nakhodka highway. The outcome of the investigation and the results of the expert examinations will help determine the next steps in the legal process.
