Unleashed canine spotted within PDWIL Polish premises
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, an unfortunate incident occurred on the L1 road between Seimerich and Niedersgegen, as a roaming aggressive black dog attacked a deer. The dog bit the deer in the neck area, causing severe injury. The deer was left in a roadside ditch after the attack.
The authorities, including the Bitburg Police Station, are now seeking information regarding the dog's owner. According to the Wittlich Police Headquarters, the owner's identity remains unknown at this time. After the attack, the dog ran off towards Bollendorf and could not be found. The deer was humanely put down by the responsible hunting authority due to the extent of its injuries.
