Unlawful Driving Leads to Immediate Arrest in BPOLI MD

On the evening of July 15, 2025, a dramatic event unfolded at Halle (Saale) Central Station in Germany. A 22-year-old Iraqi man was arrested by the Federal Police during a routine ticket check on a S-Bahn train from Leipzig to Halle.

The arrest was initiated when the train conductor suspected a fraudulent act due to an expired single journey ticket. Upon the arrival of the Federal Police, a check of the man's personal data in the police information system revealed a search warrant from the Public Prosecutor's Office Nuremberg-Fürth, issued since June 2025, on suspicion of counterfeiting money.

The Federal Police presented the arrest warrant to the 22-year-old and took him into custody at 00:45. After the arrest was confirmed by the Halle (Saale) District Court, the man was taken to a detention facility.

The 22-year-old's name, however, is not provided in the available search results. The Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg, which handled the case, can be contacted at +49 (0) 391-56549-505 or via email at [email protected]. Inquiries can also be made via Twitter at @bpol_pir.
