Hey there! It seems some of the students from St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University (SPbGPMU) are in a pickle. As per the scoop from the Investigative Committee, these students are suspected of bribery, hilariously labeled as mediators in article 291.1.

It's been reported that, by June 2023, these students shuffled a cool 71,000 rubles to an intermediary's account. This cunning cat, in turn, funneled the dough to employees of the institution for some fishy exam and credit acceptance business, no less.

According to RBC.group, the investigators have hustled through various investigative measures, ultimately nabbing a pair of educators and slapping them with charges under article 290 of the Criminal Code for bribe taking. The students, having handed over the ill-gotten green, are also in the hot seat.

Remember the lecturer, Olga Smirnova, from the anatomy department who got caught in the web of bribery and forgery last November? Well, the Vyborgsky District Court had a bone to pick with her, too. Smirnova was slapped with a teaching ban for three and a half years and hit with a whopping fine of 650,000 rubles.
