Universal Music Group welcomes Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy to its roster.

Renowned Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, has joined the global Def Jam artist family, expanding his reach across Africa and the United States. With 0207 Def Jam supporting in the U.K., UMG's subsidiary labels Def Jam Recordings in the U.S., Def Jam Africa for Africa, and 0207 Def Jam in the U.K., Stonebwoy aims to bring his eclectic sound to diverse audiences worldwide.

Def Jam Africa will spearhead Stonebwoy's music across Africa, while Def Jam Recordings will oversee his releases in the U.S. The partnership reflects UMG's commitment to promoting Ghanaian music culture and introducing Stonebwoy's unique style to international audiences.

Stonebwoy, a prolific African artist, has been a trailblazer in the music industry since 2012. He has garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards, Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, and two Billboard plaques, solidifying his status as a continental heavyweight.

Marking his debut with Def Jam, Stonebwoy will release his upcoming single, 'Therapy,' on May 3, accompanied by a video shot in Ghana. The track, a love song with a driving beat and infectious rhythms, promises to set dance floors alight worldwide. 'Therapy' is slated as the lead single for Stonebwoy's upcoming album set for release in mid-2022.

The signing with Def Jam Recordings, renowned for housing some of the biggest names in hip-hop, Afrobeats, and trap, marks an exciting new chapter for Stonebwoy's career.
