Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

Donald Trump, our one-of-a-kind POTUS, has slammed the immigration door on citizens hailing from 19 nations — 12 of which are located in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Graphic, ain't it? Not just that, he's also slapped some partial restrictions on the travelers from 7 more! Did somebody say June 9th? That's the day that ban-hammer's gonna strike.

Now, here's the lowdown on the nationals who won't be knocking on Old Glory's door anymore: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo (let's not forget the Republic of it), Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. Been keeping tabs on those visa applicants? Well, they've been a subject of concern for The Donald too, as he believes they can't be thoroughly vetted.

What's more? Even those with expired U.S. visas have raised some red flags for our POTUS. But, don't fret, folks from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Venezuela, and Turkmenistan aren't completely banned — let's just say they'll face some limitations.

ICYMI, the folks over in South Korea chose a new President a while ago. They plumped for none other than Moon Jae-in. D'you know who his predecessor was before his ouster? It was the infamous Park Geun-hye, and Moon Jae-in took office on May 10th, 2017, after winning the election with an impressive 41.1% of the vote share. Phew! That's a wrap!

In light of the ongoing immigration debates, the Trump administration has implemented stricter policies affecting nationals from several countries, including Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo (and the Republic of it), Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen, as well as partial restrictions on travelers from a further 7 nations. Interestingly, while South Korea, under the recently elected President Moon Jae-in, has ended its previous political turmoil, the Trump administration's policies on migration and legislation continue to dominate the political and general news headlines.
