*A Deadly Shooting Incident Demands Probe: Chaos at a Gaza Aid Center*

In the heart of Gaza Strip's chaos, an unexpected tragedy unfolded near an aid distribution center, claiming at least 27 lives and wounding over 90 innocent individuals. The UN's top honcho, António Guterres, has demanded a prompt and unbiased probe into the incident, pleading for accountability.

Sunday saw the horrifying incident at the U.S.-founded GHF foundation's distribution center in Rafah. The Islamist organization Hamas alleged that Israeli forces were responsible for the deaths and injuries, a claim vehemently denied by both Israel and GHF. Guterres voiced his dismay over the reports, advocating that Palestinians should never have to risk their lives for food.

Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced Guterres' statement as a disgrace, adding to the escalating political tensions. Spokesman Mahmud Bassal of Hamas' Civil Defense in Gaza told AFP that Israeli soldiers intentionally fired at thousands of civilians. GHF, however, countered that false claims were being spread by Hamas, asserting that the aid distribution was carried out without any incidents.

Contradictory accounts persist. The Israeli army refuted claims of firing at civilians near or on the aid center grounds but admitted to firing warning shots at suspects around a kilometer away the previous night. Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), on the other hand, reported that many gunshot victims were admitted to hospitals in the area, casting doubts on the IDF's narrative.

MSF's Head of Mission, Claire Manera, called the civilian deaths and injuries "avoidable" and criticized the GHF for implementing a dehumanizing, dangerous, and ineffective aid system. As the Israeli army continues to intensify operations in the Gaza Strip, the search for the truth remains elusive, fueling ongoing concerns about the region's volatile political landscape.

The European Union and its Member States expressed their deep concern over the deadly shooting incident at the Gaza aid center, calling for an immediate inquiry to ensure justice for the victims. The incident, which escalated war-and-conflicts and political tensions in the region, also prompted discussions in general-news and crime-and-justice sectors regarding the accountability of those involved.
