Unique soccer memorabilia up for auction at Lubminer Hotel: a table-kicker signed by Toni Kroos.

In a heartwarming turn of events, a table football signed by German football legend Toni Kroos has been auctioned off for a generous sum, with the proceeds set to benefit children and youth sports in Greifswald, the city where Kroos grew up.

The auction, which took place on Monday, August 25, 2025, saw the table football fetch an impressive 5,362 €. The winning bid came from the Seebruecke Hotel in Lubmin, ensuring that the table football will not be leaving the region.

The table football has an illustrious history. It was played on during the award ceremony where Toni Kroos was bestowed the Order of Merit of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in July 2025. Kroos, along with Minister President Manuela Schwesig, Mayor Dr. Stefan Fassbinder, and football enthusiast Maja, took turns playing with the signed table football.

Dr. Fassbinder, who was instrumental in organising the auction, expressed his satisfaction with the result. Heidi Moritz, senior manager of the Seebrueck Hotel, has known Toni and Felix Kroos since their childhood, making the hotel a fitting new home for the signed table football. In fact, the Kroos family celebrated the 90th birthday of their grandfather at the Seebruecke Hotel.

The funds raised from the auction will now be given to the city sports association. This support will not only provide financial assistance but also training camps and sports clothing for children from low-income families, ensuring that more young talents in Greifswald have the opportunity to excel in sports.

This auction marks a significant step towards supporting children and youth sports in Greifswald, further cementing Toni Kroos' connection with his hometown. The signed table football, now a symbol of this connection, has found a worthy place at the Seebruecke Hotel, ready to inspire the next generation of footballers.
