Signed 'Pope Motorcycle' to be Auctioned - Unique Papal BMW Motorcycle Arrives in Rome for Charity Auction
A unique white BMW Munich motorcycle, inspired by the papal Pope Francis-mobile, has arrived in Rome after a journey from Schaafheim, Germany. The motorcycle, signed by Pope Leo XIV, is set to be auctioned in Munich on October 18, with proceeds benefiting children in Madagascar through the Papal Missionary Works in Austria.
The motorcycle, a BMW R18 Transcontinental painted pearly white and adorned with the Vatican coat of arms, was brought to Rome by the 'Jesus Bikers', a group led by founder Thomas Draxler. The idea for the custom motorcycle was initiated by BMW dealer Witzel, who was involved in its creation.
The motorcycle was blessed and signed by Pope Leo XIV during a visit to the Vatican in September. It is now set to be auctioned in Munich, with bids expected to range between 40,000 and 60,000 Euros. The auction aims to raise funds for the Papal Missionary Works in Austria, with the goal of supporting children in Madagascar.
