Unique Cinema Experience: 'Witness for the Prosecution' Screened at Pforzheim District Court

The Kino vor Ort team of the Gemeindelösung Pforzheim brought a unique cinematic experience to the Pforzheim District Court. The team screened Billy Wilder's 'Witness for the Prosecution' in the Great Hall, a location that added a special touch to the event. The screening was a resounding success, with around 120 visitors creating an engaging atmosphere in the courtroom.

The Communal Cinema Pforzheim, known for its exceptional programs and initiatives, was honored with the 'Lotte-Eisner Prize'. This time, they chose the historic district court as their venue, a place that has seen many court proceedings over the past six decades. The film, a legal drama, fit perfectly with the theme of the location.

The event was practically sold out, with around 120 visitors attending. The Kino vor Ort team primarily holds such special screenings at the Alten Schlachthof Pforzheim, a cultural hotspot used for various events like concerts, fashion shows, film screenings, theater, readings, and exhibitions. However, the district court provided a unique setting for this particular screening.

The film copy used was 45 years old and missing its last ten minutes. This required a quick solution from the projectionist, who managed to resolve the issue, ensuring the audience could enjoy the film without any major interruptions.

The 'Kino vor Ort' team's screening of 'Witness for the Prosecution' at the Pforzheim District Court was a memorable event. The unique setting, the engaging atmosphere, and the quick thinking of the projectionist all contributed to a successful evening.
