The move came after Ilic made quite an impression under Steffen Baumgart's tutelage. He put a monster seven Bundesliga goals on the board during the second half of the season, a testament to his rising form. Surprisingly, under Bo Svensson, Ilic wasn't much of a regular player.

Ansah got promoted to Paderborn's professional squad from their U19 team back in the summer of 2023. Last season, he was a key player for the second division side, notching six goals and six assists each.
