Union Berlin's fresh face at the helm, Marco Grote, embraces an egalitarian approach in his partnership with assistant coach Marie-Louise Eta. "We're equals here, no major divides," Grote declared, speaking ahead of the Köpenickers' upcoming Bundesliga clash against FC Augsburg (Sky, 3:30 pm).

In the wake of Urs Fischer's departure, Grote and Eta will jointly navigate Union's training sessions at the Alte Försterei. Whether they serve as a temporary duo or forge a long-term alliance remains to be seen. As of now, Grote's focus remains locked on Augsburg, without any itch to chart a new course.

Grote and Eta's coaching journey intertwined during their time at Werder Bremen's U19s. Grote has nothing but praise for Eta, dubbing her a "very open-hearted individual who truly loves the game and enjoys working with others" and extolling their excellent working relationship.

Despite her groundbreaking role as the first female assistant coach in Bundesliga history, Grote shows no willingness to engage in gender debates. "Up in the coaching booth, what truly matters is a harmonious fit – regardless of their height, body type, choice of attire or hair length," concludes Grote.

While the partnership between Grote and Eta at Union Berlin has yet to be extensively chronicled, sources suggest that Eta has played a crucial role in Union's recent successes. Her contributions in the media, where she stood in for duties and hailed Union's strong performance and robust character during a pivotal match against Darmstadt, attracted praise[2].

However, specifics regarding their coaching history or collaboration are yet to be uncovered in existing sources. Further exploration of articles and resources focusing on Union Berlin's coaching staff might shed more light on their shared journey.
