Union coach Baumgart Hollerbach to potentially take over role

From the Sports Desk:

Saying Goodbye to a Legend!

Benedict Hollerbach (24), the star player of Union Berlin, is heading to Mainz 05 for an estimated whopping 10 million euros in transfer fees - a massive hit for the Iron Ones!

So, how do you fill such a void?

Well, according to B.Z., Union Berlin's coach, Steffen Baumgart (53), isn't planning to replace Hollerbach alone, but rather with a combination of two new signings. Neither will be his exact replacement, but they'll bring qualities reminiscent of Hollerbach.

A Glimpse into the Imminent Exit of Hollerbach at Union

Oliver Burke (28), a free agent from Bremen, might hint at what's to come. This Scottish winger is expected to provide some competition on the wing, knows the Bundesliga, and has power, experience, and a knack for excelling in transition games, much like Hollerbach did.

► Union Berlin is also on the verge of acquiring Ilyas Ansah (20) from Paderborn for around four million euros. This gifted central striker can also play on the wings and is often as clinical as Hollerbach was. However, it might take some time for Ansah to adapt to his new environment.

It's clear internally: The departure of Hollerbach is significant, not just for his scoring abilities, but also for his relentless drive, mental fortitude, and dynamism.

Last season, Hollerbach bagged an impressive nine goals, more than any other Union player, and added three assists, contributing to almost every third goal scored by the Berliners.

Within the club, there's a general recognition of how significant this loss is - they're counting on Burke and Ansah to embody the spirit and skill of Hollerbach.

Football's European leagues are abuzz as Union Berlin, followed by Sports Desk, bid farewell to their star player, Benedict Hollerbach. Despite losing him for a substantial 10 million euros in transfer fees to Mainz 05, the Iron Ones are planning to fill the void by acquiring two new signings in Oliver Burke and Ilyas Ansah. Burke, a free agent from Bremen, will provide competition on the wing and has a knack for excelling in transition games similar to Hollerbach, while Ansah, who is being acquired from Paderborn for around four million euros, is a gifted central striker capable of playing on the wings and can be as clinical as Hollerbach was.
