Unified Efforts Necessary in Hong Kong to Guarantee a Memorable National Games Event
The 15th National Games Ticket Sales: Affordable and Secure
The much-anticipated ticket sales for the 15th National Games commenced on August 28, 2025. With over 5 million tickets available, the games, set to take place from November 9 to 21, 2025, across 19 cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, are expected to attract over 100,000 visitors, both from the mainland and overseas.
To ensure a fair and legitimate ticket distribution, authorities have introduced real-name registration for tickets. This system, which requires "registration first, one ticket per credential, and real-name attendance," aims to combat ticket scalping and secure attendance. Spectators are encouraged to register in advance to receive updates like fixture schedules and venue guides.
Ticket prices range from 30 yuan to a top rate of 800 yuan (approximately US$4 to US$111). Over half of the tickets are priced below 100 yuan to ensure affordability. The games cover 32 sports, including popular ones like football, basketball, gymnastics, table tennis, badminton, and diving, as well as mass participation events during the opening and closing ceremonies. Tickets for the Para Games and Special Olympics are priced even lower, ranging from 5 yuan to 50 yuan.
Five purchasing channels are available: the official website, an official WeChat mini-program, online resale, offline resale, and venue ticket booths. Online ticket sales will be made through an official platform, and spectators are advised to buy tickets only from these channels to avoid scams. Offline ticket purchases are also possible.
Regarding tour groups, there is no specific public information about restrictions or special provisions for such groups. However, the emphasis on real-name registration and one ticket per credential suggests tight controls on group bookings to prevent ticket scalping or unauthorized resale.
Ticket transfers are possible, but only if made in advance. Spectators are limited to purchasing six tickets per event, making it challenging to create tour packages. The aim is to make the games affordable and well-attended, encouraging individual spectators to enjoy the sports spectacle.
