Unidentified Individuals Assault a Young Male
In the neighbourhood of Hellersdorf, a 12-year-old child was the victim of an attack on a tram in Zossener Straße. The incident occurred around 3:40 PM, with the child being approached by four unknown individuals who asked him to show his phone.
According to reports, the child was carrying a knife at the time, causing him to flee the scene. One of the attackers is said to have pursued him, punching the child in the face and stomach upon exiting the tram at the Zossener Straße and Alte Hellersdorfer Straße stop. As a result of the attack, the child suffered abdominal pain.
The child's residence was subsequently visited by officers for investigation purposes. However, upon their arrival, the child refused medical treatment in the presence of his mother.
It is alleged that the attackers insulted the child because his phone's background displayed a German flag. The State Protection Police has taken over the investigation, although the exact role they will play is yet to be confirmed.
Given the sensitive nature of the incident, the State Protection Police (Landeskriminalamt) in Berlin typically handle politically or socially sensitive cases. However, without concrete reports, their exact role in this investigation cannot be confirmed at this time.
For verified updates on this incident, it is recommended to check recent official statements from the Berlin police or local news outlets specializing in Berlin crime reporting.
