Taking the Ural Region by Storm: Disability Champions Advance to National "Abilimpex" Finals

The whirlwind regional round of the acclaimed "Abilimpex" championship for the disabled has wrapped up in the Middle Urals. A heavyweight lineup of twelve local contenders have earned their slots in the upcoming final, slated for October in Moscow, as reported by the Sverdlovsk region's information policy department.

This roster of regional competitors includes Sofya Telechina, their schoolgirl sensation in "Poster Design," Alexander Polukhin casting his bricks in "Bricklaying," and Dmitry Zorikh serving up smiles in "Restaurant Service." Svetlana Kleimenova and Anna Gorbunova, renowned "Pizza Making Masters," round out the list.

Among students, we have Veronica Frolova offering her expertise in "Document Management and Archival Science," Pavel Kozirev lending his heart to "Social Work," Vladlena Terekhova capturing moments in "Photography," and Angelica Sukhareva shining in "Translation." Ekaterina Solovyeva triumphs in "Confectionery," while Boris Bredikhlin triumphs again in "Entrepreneurship" for specialists. Elvir Fanakayev bagged another victory in the "1C Typical Solutions Specialist" category, having already proven himself as a "Abilimpex" champion in 2024.

""Abilimpex" transcends competition; it's our stage to flaunt our talents, share experiences, and prove that brilliance knows no bounds," expressed Angelica Sukhareva, a finalist in the "Translation" category. dare I say, it's a battlefield. A chance to test my limits, cross academic boundaries, and exhibit my real-world prowess. I'm convinced these experiences will fuel my future."

The "Abilimpex" championship crucially seeks to facilitate professional education, employment, and cultural inclusion for individuals with disabilities, in line with the objectives of the national "Youth and Children" project. In a previous report by "Regional Newspaper," Denis Pasler signed an order to offer rewards to the 2024 "Abilimpex" winners and runners-up.

From grassroots beginnings to global impact, "Abilimpex" represents a beacon of inclusivity and a testament to the power of human potential. By providing a safe haven for diverse talents to shine, the championship has become a pivotal stepping stone towards professional recognition, driving societal change one contestant at a time.

"Despite being known for its sports-analysis segment, the 'Abilimpex' championship is more than just competition. It's a platform for sharing experiences and proving that brilliance knows no bounds, much like the 'Translation' category finalist, Angelica Sukhareva, who sees it as a chance to test her limits and exhibit her real-world prowess."

"As the spotlight shifts towards the national finals in October, various sports and skills will be showcased, including sports-analysis, which could potentially add a new dimension to the championship, offering a unique perspective on the talents exhibited by contestants."
