Uncovered Breaches in Arms Legislation at BPOLI LUD
In a series of investigations conducted on Tuesday evening, the Federal Police in Ludwigsdorf, Bad Muskau, and Görlitz uncovered several incidents involving weapons violations.
The most notable discovery was made at a highway checkpoint in Görlitz, where a 20-year-old individual from Estonia was found with an illegal switchblade readily accessible in a pocket. The Estonian was a passenger in an Estonian car.
Meanwhile, in Bad Muskau, a 16-year-old German from Niesky was found with an electric stun gun disguised as a flashlight. The device, known colloquially as a "fake flashlight," was found in the teenager's backpack.
Both the 16-year-old German and the 20-year-old Estonian are now under investigation. The background of their connection is not fully disclosed, but it is known that investigations have been initiated by the Federal Police against them. The German youth was involved in an incident in Bad Muskau, but specific details about their connection are not provided in the available information.
In addition, an electric stun gun was found in Bad Muskau. The exact location of the discovery of the "fake flashlight" is not specified, but it is assumed to be in Bad Muskau as it was found on the teenager.
The investigations were initiated due to violations of the Weapons Act. The Federal Police Inspection Ludwigsdorf is leading the investigations, with Michael Engler serving as the press spokesperson. To reach Mr. Engler, you can contact him at [email protected] or +49 35 81 - 3626-6110.
