Remember when Jeff popped the question with a massive 30-carat rock while holidaying in Europe a couple years back? That's old news now, as the couple's wedding celebrations are set to begin on June 24th.

Karlie Kloss, Joshua Kushner, Jared Kushner, and Ivanka Trump are expected to join the 200-strong guest list, along with Lauren's buddies Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian, as well as the crew from Blue Origin, including Katy Perry and Gayle King.
"I think it's gonna be like a Princess Di thing," her older brother, Paul Sánchez, told TMZ back in March 2025, referencing Princess Diana's 1981 wedding to the King of England.

If you thought the gifts would come in handy, guess again. The couple's asked guests to make charitable donations instead.

According to some reports, guests will be treated to goodie bags containing items from Rosa Salva, a city bakery, and colorful, handblown Murano glass created by Laguna B design studio. The events could feasibly include rehearsal dinners, receptions, cocktail parties, and perhaps even a pajama bash, if we're to believe the rumors.

Just weeks before the wedding, a group of protesters gathered in St. Mark's Square in Venice to vent their frustrations.
"IF YOU CAN RENT VENICE FOR YOUR WEDDING YOU CAN PAY MORE TAX," their massive banner screamed, promptly being removed by the local constabulary.

Greenpeace and Britain's "Everyone Hates Elon" allegedly whipped up the aforementioned banner, taking Jeff to task for skimping on taxes and treating his staff like dirt.
On Instagram, the two groups decried, "Jeff Bezos pays his staff poverty wages and avoids taxes. No wonder he can afford to shut down half of Venice for his wedding this week."

The "No Space for Bezos" movement, essentially a dig at Lauren's controversial trip to space earlier this year, has been plastering posters and banners all over the city.
Protestors complain about the escalating issues caused by overtourism, stating that the city shouldn't be treated as a commodity. Federica Toninello, spokesperson for the "No Space for Bezos" group, told Page Six, "We reject the exploitative logic that sees the city as a commodity."

Protesters even threatened to fill the canals with inflatable crocodiles to disrupt the wedding festivities.

Federica accused the mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, of choosing to peddle Venice instead of addressing the real problems that its residents face - rising living costs, housing prices, and depopulation.
"The setup of this mega-event is emblematic of the mayor's vision for Venice," the spokesperson continued.
"These kinds of events create precarious, seasonal jobs that are overly dependent on foreign demand. But Venetians need stable employment with fair wages."

Mayor Luigi Brugnaro defiantly stated that they were "proud" that Venice had been chosen as the wedding venue, and that the events would blend seamlessly into the daily life of the city. City hall officials also released a statement to assuage public concerns about disruptions caused by the event.
The couple kicked off the festivities by throwing a foam party on their $500 million yacht, ahead of the main events.

Due to protests and safety concerns, the billionaire founder had booked multiple venues across the city across several days. In a last-minute move, he even relocated a Saturday after-party to a more secure venue to avoid any disruptions.
Residents had threatened to fill the city canals with inflatable crocodiles ahead of the event. "Bezos is on the run," Tommasso Cacciari, a no-space-for-Bezos protestor, told the Times of London.
Last month, Lauren hosted a star-studded, multi-day bachelorette party in Paris.

Netizens vented their opinions on social media, commenting on the public backlash. "The entire world deserves a plate from the buffet!" one snarked, while another chimed in, "The bigger the wedding, the harder the fall."
