In an upcoming concert at Stadttheater Amberg, audiences are in for a treat as the renowned Franck Piano Quintet, along with pianist Grigori Gruzman, present a programme that showcases the beauty and depth of Romantic chamber music.

Anna Tyshayeva, a member of the Franck Piano Quintet, is set to shine a new light on the fame of composer Salomon Jadassohn with this special performance. Jadassohn, a respected figure in his time, was associated with the Romantics Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms.

The concert will feature the quintet's arrangement of the psalm setting "Ich hebe meine Augen auf", giving the evening its title, and an elegy for violin and piano. Among the composers the Franck Piano Quintet will perform alongside Jadassohn are Camille Saint-Saëns, Moritz Moszkowski, and César Franck.

Grigori Gruzman, a pianist and professor, will share the keyboard with Anna Tyshayeva during the concert. Gruzman, educated at prestigious institutions including the Music School for Gifted Children of the St. Petersburg Conservatory and the University of Music Freiburg, has been teaching piano at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar since 2006.

The Franck Piano Quintet aims to share joy and inspiration from their extensive repertoire with their audience. The members, primarily from Ukraine, are connected by a sense of humor. They consider great works of chamber music as part of culture, education, and upbringing, promoting good feelings and opposing barbarism, terrorism, and war.

Beyond their concert in Stadttheater Amberg, the Franck Piano Quintet also dedicates themselves to benefit concerts to support Ukraine's medical aid.

Jadassohn's Sextet op. 100, a piece that unites two violins, a viola, a cello, and two pianists at one piano, will also be performed. This work is notable for its rich romantic character and strong craftsmanship, placing it in the tradition of late 19th-century Romantic chamber music.

Anna Tyshayeva regards César Franck's music as intellectually complex, passionate, poetic, and dreamy, encompassing the entire spectrum of ideas, feelings, and thoughts of a person. She emphasizes Jadassohn's talent for memorable melodies that are immediately lovable and memorable.

The Franck Piano Quintet also seeks out masterpieces that have been unjustly forgotten. Their performance promises to be a celebration of Romantic chamber music, showcasing the best of Jadassohn's work and the quintet's own unique interpretation.

Don't miss this opportunity to experience the beauty and depth of Romantic chamber music at Stadttheater Amberg. The concert with the Franck Piano Quintet and Grigori Gruzman is sure to be a memorable evening of music.
