In a heartwarming display of support, Canadian photographer and survivor, Simon Drouin, has launched a promotional t-shirt campaign to show solidarity with victims of sexual assault. The t-shirt, designed by a victim herself, aims to shift the focus from shame to strength and resilience.

Meanwhile, fellow cyclist Geneviève Jeanson continues her pedal-powered journey, racking up the miles on her gravel bike. Last year, Jeanson cycled an impressive 20,000 kilometers while writing her book, "The Break", published in 2018.

Drouin, who took up cycling again during the pandemic after a 12-year hiatus, finds a sense of freedom on her bicycle that she loves. She considers herself a survivor and a warrior, much like Jeanson. When asked about her cycling, Jeanson responds with a simple, yet powerful statement: "I'm training for life."

Drouin's dog, Ranger, often accompanies her on rides, listening to Radio-Canada as they pedal through scenic routes. Jeanson, on the other hand, prefers the challenging terrains of large stables, cornfields, and wooded areas. If she feels the need to climb, she heads to Mount Rigaud.

Both women have a military-like appearance, with Drouin sporting a buzz cut and tattooed forearm. Jeanson, although no longer competitive in cycling, still enjoys racing and embarking on 'crazy adventures'. She is currently approaching 13,000 km this year.

Recently, Jeanson embarked on a 750 km bicycle ride to New York at the end of August to relieve stress from her autobiography's release. Drouin, however, agreed to give a bike ride demonstration but requested the interview about her autobiography be conducted at a later time due to its sensitive nature.

Despite their different paths, both Drouin and Jeanson find solace and strength in their cycling journeys, using their experiences to inspire and uplift others. Their stories serve as a testament to the power of resilience and the healing power of movement.
