In a surprising turn of events, SSV Ulm has announced the dismissal of Head Coach Robert Lechleiter, effective immediately. The decision comes after a challenging start to the season, with the team currently sitting just above the relegation places before the seventh matchday.

Lechleiter, who took over the professional team at SSV Ulm in March of the previous year, replacing Thomas Wörle, instilled a new spirit in the team and brought them close to survival. However, the start of the season hasn't gone as planned, leading to the club's decision.

Lechleiter managed the team in 19 competitive games, during which he couldn't prevent relegation from the second to the third tier. Despite this, he managed to stabilize the team at times during his tenure.

The match against SSV Jahn Regensburg this Sunday is a crucial one for SSV Ulm. Both teams are struggling, and the outcome could significantly impact their respective positions in the league.
