UK's Married at First Sight celebrity Paul Liba discloses his participation in a hit-and-run incident, posting a photo of the car accident aftermath on social media.
Paul Liba, a popular star from the E4 dating show Married At First Sight UK, has shared news of a car accident and confirmed his split from co-star Tasha Jay.
In an Instagram post, Paul revealed that he was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Emergency services, including police and a fire engine, responded to the incident. Fortunately, Paul was not seriously injured, with only one blown tire reported.
Following the accident, Paul expressed his gratitude for the support he has received and expressed hope for continued friendship with Tasha. He also shared his desire for companionship, stating, 'I enjoy being loved and I enjoy looking for love, and I just want to find the right person.'
The couple, who met and fell in love on the show last year, confirmed their split in another Instagram post by Tasha. She wrote, 'It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing Paul and I have decided to part ways.' Tasha added that there was no major reason for their split, and they simply didn't want to move far away from their families. Paul also mentioned uncertainty about moving up North as a contributing factor to their breakup.
Despite the split, the couple managed to avoid drama during their appearance on MAFS. They were one of the few couples from the 2023 series still in a relationship. However, with their split, only two contestants remain in relationships from the show.
Paul was seen enjoying a night out at Mixtons' Winter Wonderland event days before his car accident. He also attended the event with fellow MAFS stars and Love Islanders.
Paul's post-accident update came during an appearance at Mixtons' Winter Wonderland event, where he shared that he is doing alright but the car accident was tough. He also expressed openness to finding love again, stating, 'Someone to cuddle at night, someone to stop me going out, someone to tell me I am amazing.'
Tasha, who is extremely close with her family, has all her nephews and nieces. She has not yet made any public comments regarding the split or Paul's car accident.
As sources do not provide information about the name of the driver who fled the scene of the car accident, the investigation is ongoing.
