🕔 11.04.22: Ukraine allegedly bags two Chinese squaddies in the east, says President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Seems like a half-dozen Chinese troops got themselves into a dustup with Ukrainian soldiers tangling with Russian forces, according to the Prez's statement earlier this week in Kyiv.

Zelenskyy pointed the finger at North Korea, too, as their boys have been spotted fighting with the Russkis in the Kursk region. Beijing, however, has kept mum on providing direct support to Russia in their tussle against the Ukraine. The irony? Moskva's forces are using infrared dollies from Iran to bomb Kiev.

China's yet to make a peep, and it's no secret the Yanks are keen for a chat over this turn of events. Official confirmation from Beijing is a no-show, and that Ukrainian Foreign Minister fellow's been tasked with getting a response—but radio silence so far. Some speculate the number of Chinese nationals involved in this debacle might be higher than reported, but that's still conjecture. What's clear is this conflict is heating up geopolitically, but we really need more tea on China's role.

  2. It was Zelenskyy who claimed that North Korean forces have been supporting the Russians in the Kursk region, while Chinese forces remain silent about providing direct support to Russia in their conflict with Ukraine.
  3. Despite speculation that the number of Chinese nationals involved in the conflict may be higher than reported, official confirmation from Chinese authorities remains elusive, with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister working to obtain a response via channels such as WhatsApp and diplomatic channels.
