Ukraine: Border Guard Takes Down Heavy Russian Artillery System

Ukrainian forces have proven their mettle yet again, successfully destroying a heavily fortified Russian artillery system in the Kharkiv region. The 2S5 Giazint-S, a long-range artillery gun, has fallen to the hands of the Ukrainian border guard unit "Phoenix". This impressive feat comes after videos showed the destruction of a Russian military vehicle of the type GAZ-2975 Tigr, and reports of a burned-out Russian military camp.

Destruction in Kyiv, Attacks Across the Country

Sadly, the day was marked by destruction in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, where at least one person lost their life in Russian attacks. Fires and damaged buildings were spotted across the city, and there were reports of attacks in other parts of the country as well. The institute was notorious during Soviet times for employing psychiatric diagnoses to unjustly imprison political opponents. Tater's trial is set for April 14, 2023.

30 Days of Ceasefire Ain't Enough to Fix Ukraine's Energy Crisis

As Kyiv and Moscow agreed on a 30-day temporary halt on attacks against energy infrastructure, an energy expert declared that it would take up to five years for Ukraine to fully recover. Any prolonged ceasefire could potentially alleviate the situation, but the road to a fully restored energy supply will be long and arduous.

International Developments

American Joseph Tater, a U.S. national, to face trial in a Moscow courtroom following his capture in August 2024.

While Russians suggested resuming dialogue with the US as early as next week, the positive dynamic is tempered by lingering adversaries within the American government. Moreover, Poland warned US President Donald Trump of a historical mistake in negotiations for ending the war in Ukraine, as recognizing Russia's territorial claims would cross a red line for Poland and Europe.

Russian Advancements in Sumy

Reports indicated that Russian troops had advanced in the northeastern Ukrainian region of Sumy, capturing the town of Basiwka. Despite counteroffensives, they were still fighting in 12 other locations in the region. Russian forces had seemingly pushed back Ukrainian forces in the Russian region of Kursk, positioning themselves to advance towards Sumy.

Mourning the Fallen

In the industrial city of Kryvyi Rih, the tragic loss of nine children made headlines. The unprovoked Russian rocket attack on Yesterday has resulted in a national day of mourning and much grief for the families of the victims.

Plots of Sabotage and Chaos

An American neo-Nazi group, led by an individual residing in Russia, has come forth with plans to weaken Ukraine by carrying out acts of sabotage on critical infrastructure. Seeking to disrupt peace talks with the Kremlin, the group called for attacks on electrical power plants, military and police vehicles, personnel, government buildings, and politicians in Ukrainian cities, particularly Kyiv.

The Continuing Battle for Ukraine

Since yesterday, Ukraine has reported 5450 Russian attacks, marking a significant escalation in tensions. With the combined strength of global allies, including the US, offering air support, Ukraine remains resilient in the face of adversity.
