Ukraine issues a warning to Lukashenko: Tensions escalate as Ukraine delivers a stern message to Belarus' leader.

How Ukraine Responds to Rumors of Russia Shipping Weapons to Belarus

Last Friday, the Belarusian Railway Community, citing data and examining ongoing BЖD activity, hinted at Russia shipping a variety of aircraft bombs and missiles to Belarusian lands from June 14 to 30, 2025.

This news maker waves across Ukrainian media outlets. The "Observer" publication tied a bold caption to their social media post, signaling the risk: "Lukashenko is taking a gamble..." according to "Solidarnasc" (Solidarity).

Ukrainian news organizations compared the methods and amounts of Russian weapons transfers to how the prelude to the full-scale incursion in February 2022 played out, camouflaged under pseudo exercises.

For one, Ukrainian "Focus" magazine argues that Russian weapons aren't merely transported via rail.

"In the sweltering summer of 2022, Russian transport aircraft such as the Il-76 and An-124-100 began taking to Belarusian airfields, including the Machulishchi airbase," the publication pens [3].

The Military Portal underscores that Machulishchi has transformed into a prominent airbase for Russian invaders since the 2022 incursion. It's also worth rememebr that:

Tactics and the extents of upcoming military exercises mirror those of the "United Resolve" drills staged in Belarus from February 10 to 20, 2022. Only four days following those drills' closure, Russian forces stormed Ukraine.

Ukrainian media references comments from their president, who heralded possible scenarios for future Belarusian-Russian military maneuvers. These comments went public on the same day as reports about missile and bomb deliveries.

"Zelensky cautioned Lukashenko about potential repercussions during the exercises with Russia," UNIAN reported [4].

"Lukashenko is petrified and will move the drills back from the Ukrainian frontier. He realizes that should our countermeasures on the Kursk front, if we sense danger—we know our potential," the Ukrainian leader declared.

In the meantime, the Ukrainian president emphasized that intelligence analysis suggests that exercise participants will attempt to move slightly deeper into Belarus, away from the borders.
