=========================================================================

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, with the city of Kyiv and the separate city of Kharkiv being among the locations targeted. This attack has caused significant disturbance for many, including Inna Polshina and Serhii Malyk, co-founders of the Kyiv-based creative agency, Angry.

Inna Polshina serves as the creative services director, while Serhii Malyk is the creative director for Angry. On the night of the attack, they woke up to loud noises, a stark reminder of the ongoing conflict.

The shelling of Kharkiv, a city in Ukraine, has been a continuation of the attack launched by Russia on Ukraine. This event is a significant one in the ongoing war, causing further disturbance for the people of Ukraine and likely causing damage and displacement of its residents.

The shelling of Kharkiv has been demonstrated as a demonstration of Russia's continued aggression towards Ukraine. The city has been subjected to frequent and intense Russian shelling and drone attacks, with tactics aimed at overwhelming Ukrainian air defenses.

In July 2025 alone, Kharkiv City experienced 103 Russian strikes, primarily involving Shahed-type drones and glide bombs. These attacks caused injuries to at least 164 people, one death, and damaged eight of the city's nine districts.

Throughout July, strikes occurred on 10 different days targeting the city and 16 days within the wider Kharkiv Oblast. In early August 2025, attacks have continued. On August 1, a Molniya drone strike injured one person in Kharkiv. On August 2-3, further shelling hit Kharkiv and nine nearby settlements, resulting in four injuries, including a child.

The ongoing shelling of Kharkiv has caused a significant humanitarian impact, with both missile and drone strikes causing civilian casualties, infrastructure damage, and displacement of its residents. As of early August 2025, Kharkiv remains under persistent attacks.
