British virtual band Gorillaz have announced an exciting UK arena tour for next year, marking their return to live performances after a five-year hiatus. The tour, in support of their ninth studio album 'The Mountain', will see the band play across various cities, including Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Belfast, and London.

The tour kicks off on March 21 at Co-op Live in Manchester, followed by a stop at BP Pulse Live in Birmingham on March 22. Gorillaz will then visit OVO Hydro in Glasgow (March 24), First Direct Arena in Leeds (March 25), Utilita Arena in Cardiff (March 27), Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham (March 28), M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool (March 29), and SSE Arena in Belfast (March 31). The tour concludes with a historic moment as Gorillaz play their first ever stadium headline show at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.

For O2 and Virgin Media broadband customers, the excitement begins earlier. They can get Priority Tickets for the tour more than 48 hours ahead of general release. Tickets for the general public go on sale on Friday, September 19 at 11am BST.

The record 'The Mountain' is the first release on Gorillaz' own KONG label and features collaborations with Sparks, Gruff Rhys, Yasiin Bey, IDLES' Joe Talbot, Johnny Marr, and more. The band has been busy preparing for the tour, having played their new album 'The Mountain' in full during their 4-night residency at London's Copper Box Arena.

In addition to the tour, Gorillaz have also opened the doors to their House Of Kong exhibition, which has been reworked into an online video game experience called Kong Studios. Fans can immerse themselves in the world of Gorillaz like never before.

Gorillaz were founded in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and comic artist Jamie Hewlett in London, England. Since then, they have achieved immense success, selling over 25 million records worldwide and winning numerous awards. Their unique blend of music, animation, and storytelling has captivated audiences of all ages.

The UK arena tour is set to be an unforgettable experience for fans, offering a chance to witness one of the most innovative and influential bands of our time. Don't miss out on the opportunity to secure your tickets and be a part of this musical journey.
