UK-Ireland theatrical distribution rights of the ghost dog horror film 'Good Boy' have been obtained by Vertigo Releasing.

Set to be released in UK-Ireland cinemas on the 10th of October 2025, "Good Boy" is a captivating film that offers a fresh take on haunted house and protective pet storylines. Directed by Ben Leonberg, who also stars his own dog Indy in the leading role, the film follows a loyal canine companion named Indy and his owner Todd as they move to a rural family home where Indy discovers dark supernatural forces lurking in the shadows.

Indy, the dog performer in "Good Boy", has already made waves in the film industry. He won the 'Howl of Fame' award for best canine performance at this year's SXSW Film Festival and has been praised for his standout performance. After moving into the old country home, Indy becomes wary of the house, encountering phantasmagorical warnings from a long-dead dog.

The film is distributed in the UK by Vertigo Releasing, a company that finds the film perspective-driven and unique. Rupert Preston, CEO of Vertigo, has expressed his admiration for the film, stating that it captures the eerie atmosphere through the dog's eyes, blending suspense with emotional stakes.

With a runtime of 72 minutes, "Good Boy" boasts a stellar cast, including Larry Fessenden, Arielle Friedman, Shane Jensen (as Todd), and Indy the dog. The movie has been well-received, holding a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Noted for its chilling tone, the film has stirred significant interest, with a recent trailer launch causing a 2000% spike in Google searches about its ending. It follows the North American release on October 3, 2025, by Independent Film Company.

In addition to "Good Boy", Vertigo Releasing's slate includes the film "Saipan", about the falling out between Ireland captain Roy Keane and manager Mick McCarthy at the 2002 football World Cup.

"Good Boy" is a must-watch for horror fans and animal lovers alike, promising a unique cinematic experience that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.
