White expressed hope that Nurmagomedov, who won against Gaethje via a triangle choke in the second round, would return to the UFC to secure his 30th win. The 32-year-old retired undefeated from MMA competition in 2021, boasting a record of 29-0 and earning a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame. The fight against Gaethje was his first since the passing of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.
Recent speculation suggests that Khabib may be planning a quick return to the UFC, with some sources implying that he could make a comeback as early as August 2025.
