UFC Manager Nurmagomedova announces his intended comeback date

In an informal chat with TASS, Umar Nurmagomedov's manager, Rizvan Magomedov, spilled the beans about the Ex-UFC lightweight title contender's upcoming plans. Despite rumors swirling about a potential fight in August, Magomedov revealed that Umar isn't quite ready yet.

He shared, "There were talks for a fight in August. It was publicly known. But Umar isn't prepared by August. I think Yan wouldn't wait until October when Umar is ready. Umar will step into the ring closer to the end of the year, aiming for the Abu Dhabi tournament."

Interestingly, it's worth mentioning that Umar, who recently suffered his first professional loss against bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 311, is the cousin of former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

However, it's essential to note that there's no official confirmation from the UFC regarding Umar's next fight. While fan-speculated matchups with Petr Yan have been tossed around as potential title eliminators, these remain unconfirmed by the UFC.

As of now, Umar isn't on the UFC's official schedule for the upcoming months, so we'll just have to wait and see if the Abu Dhabi tournament fight materializes. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on this exciting fighter!
